Ocean Technologies

The Ocean Technologies River CNC Series of precision hole drilling machines are widely acceptable for manufacturing critical parts where precision and reliability directly impact human safety. These machines are widely used in aerospace, defense, medical, and automotive industries where flawless execution is vital to survival. In aerospace, jet engine components such as cooling holes in turbine blades and vanes, fuel injectors and nozzles, and flight-critical components require CNC hole drilling machines for complex and consistent multi-angle hole patterns for aerostructures to ensure compliance with strict aviation standards.

Lifesaving medical equipment and devices require smooth fine-finishes for surgical instruments such as biopsy needles, catheter tips and other invasive tools. Medical devices need tiny consistent drilled holes in stents, pacemakers, and other orthopedic implants to prevent device malfunction and ensure patient safety. And finally, the automotive industries require superior hole drilling for safety-critical parts such as fuel injection systems for consistent fuel atomization and avoidance of engine misfires or power loss. ABS and brake components require drilling for consistent performance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The micro drilling machine employs electrode and metal electrical discharges to generate high temperature, which in turn erodes metal and creates perforations. The micro drill can process a variety of conductive materials, including stainless steel, hardened steel, hard alloy, copper, and aluminum. The spindle lifting mechanism utilizes high-precision servo motor to ensure stable processing with tiny electrodes. Both the spindle lifting and secondary lifting mechanisms use linear guides to enhance machining accuracy. The machine can penetrate directly from slopes, cambers, or any shaped surface. The micro drill can also be used to remove broken drill bits and taps from work pieces without damaging the original hole or threads.
